In other words, do you think that spirituality affect the goal of business (which is to make profit). Does it effect it for the better or for the worse? Any why do you think so?

Anything that brings unity to a view/goal has an impact. Whether it be spiritually, passion, ideology, greed, or fear, as long as there is is a unified drive toward a goal, the results will improve. A smart employer would work to create a strong unified front in their staff, but leave spirituality out of it… not all employees are going to share a belief in that.
Profit is different through eyes of spirit. What does it profit a man if he gains the world but loses his soul..Jesus
absolutely. Because people believe in christmas, the season is one of the most profitable in a business year for retailers.
In jewish communities a lot of stores close on sabbath..
Yes. Utah was recently rated as the top state in the country for businesses largely because of the spiritual people they can find as employees here. In our case our spirituality leads us to get an education, not smoke, not drink alcohol, not do drugs, not break the law, etc. We don’t take smoke breaks (saving our employers money), we don’t come in to work drunk or hungover (increasing productivity), we are honest and show up to work on time and don’t steal company time or resources, and we are highly motivated to continue our higher education because we believe the more we learn the greater our advantage will be in the next life. We increase profits and production for businesses.
Brian you forgot to say that Mormon businesses include, Casinos, shops that sell Alcohol, cigarettes, ETC
No wonder Your profit making organisation is so keen to educate you they’ll be taking their 10% for the rest of your working life! Good business!
The answer depends on one’s definition of "spirituality." If by ‘spirituality’ you mean ethical behavior, derived from the moral aspect of human nature, then the answer is YES, ‘spirituality’ does affect the business goal of making a profit. If one has a well considered, well developed ethical system upon which one bases judgments, then ‘enlightened self interest’ would mean that business dealings would stand secondary to one’s code of ethics.
Thus, one’s business dealings may, or may not, result in the maximizing of profit; but, in all cases, the business woman or man would be the ‘richer’ for it, either way.
