How can I get started with yoga without classes? by gerben | 11-Aug-04 | Body | 7 comments Related Blogs 7 Comments BabeHeart on 2011/08/04 at 00:13 There are many videos and DVDs available. That’s all I’ve ever used and I enjoy them a lot. I prefer Yoga Journals workouts and Rodney Yee or Patricia Walden (both have good beginner workouts). Look up beginner yoga workouts online and see what workouts you find. You can probably even get the DVDs pretty cheap off eBay. Also, check out youtube for yoga workouts. They may have some (they have other fitness workouts). Enjoy! ***C.M.K*** on 2011/08/04 at 00:13 STRECH Patrick M on 2011/08/04 at 00:13 I used http://ExerciseTV.tv – You can buy DVDs from them, but they have a lot of free video sample routines online. http://womenshealthmag.com also has a section on yoga where they describe various routines. http://www.tarastilesliving.com/ – tara stiles has some suggested routines as well. Plenty of places to get ideas and find the routines you like and then you can make your own out of the poses you like. xristos_48 on 2011/08/04 at 00:13 I suggest you take a look at http://yoga-experts.cjb.net/ it is a great yoga website with a lot of information and advice. Avon Lady on 2011/08/04 at 00:13 I just started too and I found a great website that is completely free with no ads! She makes awesome beginner videos and explains the poses thoroughly. Do a little everyday and you’ll see results. Jay on 2011/08/04 at 00:13 The important thing is just to get going with it. Yoga can help improve almost every area of your life. If you can participate in group classes at a yoga studio that would be preffered. That may not always be possible so the yoga dvd is the next best thing. A helpful yoga DVD review site is http://bestyogadvd.net/ they give their top choices. You won’t go wrong with any of them as they seem to cater to people like you. Laguna Beach on 2011/08/04 at 00:13 Diamond Dallas Page’s YRG Workout is great for people just starting yoga. I like that he shows you how to modify positions so you can make the workout easier or more challenging. You can find the online version at http://www.GreatDrills.com or the best pricing for DVD’s is on ebay. Good Luck!
