What separates a spiritual atheist, from an atheist who says there is no such thing as spirituality? What separates both of these atheists from someone who believes in God? Is ones idea of spirituality any less valid because they are an atheist or believer in God
aethiests dont care about spiritual things but THEY ARE EXTREMELY important cuz being born again thru Gods spirit saves!!
this is relig

I see it as a variable.
One that mankind can create.
Spirituality is the means with which Humans can move with one direction or purpose in mind, as opposed to chaotically running about without the brains to realise that we’re hurting each other.
Higher than network television but less than sex…how’s that?
Defining GOD as "The Moral Center of the Universe," … yes: it is EXTREMELY important to have a right spiritual life.
It isn’t that important just live well and do no harm.
No, I don’t think so. I think spirituality is important for me. I can’t speak for anyone else. I think that everyone is of value and that whatever they believe is valid because they believe it, and it is their choice. I do however sometimes get a little crazy when I see people with such tunnel vision to think they are right and everyone else is wrong.

Since there is not even an adequate definition of what spirituality is, the importance must be identically zero.
I had no idea there were spiritual atheists. I thot they all claimed non-spirituality.
It is all important to the max to know Christ, but not to have a religion. It might be worse to have a false religion than no religion at all.
Since the word "spiritual" has religious connotations, I don’t understand an atheist considering herself or himself as being "spiritual." I certainly don’t. Perhaps those atheists who do consider themselves to be "spiritual" don’t know the meaning of the word.
spiritual: 1. Of, relating to, consisting of, or having the nature of spirit; not tangible or material. 2. Of, concerned with, or affecting the soul. 3. Of, from, or pertaining to God; deific. 4. Of or belonging to a church or religion; sacred. 5. Pertaining to or having the nature of spirits; supernatural.
.
Nothing, unless you want it to be. It doesn’t matter if your spiritual or atheist, we’re all living on the same piece of rock floating in space. Having belief or not doesn’t make us any different or special, it’s how we’ve lived our life that matters, Life is a game, Death is a prize, show me door #2.
FIRST QUESTION:
a spiritual atheists:
1. they have their own beliefs, only that they don’t believe in God.
2. they have their own spiritual practices and beliefs.
3. they MAY BE people who don’t believe in gods and have no religion at all, but have they have their own practices brought by culture.
3. on my own opinion, spiritual atheists are maybe one of those who value their fellow spiritual beings, maybe they value life more compared to atheists who doesn’t believe in spirituality.
While an atheist who believes there’s so such thing as spirituality:
1. they are those who don’t consider themselves spiritual beings.
2. they don’t have any religious or spiritual beliefs.
3. maybe stick to the belief that there is no such thing as hell, or heaven, or anything similar to that. So the conclusion might be they’re not afraid of death or committing any grievous sins.
but then again, we cannot generally say that spiritual atheists are more morally upright than those that are not spiritual. why? because it really depends on culture and the nature/environment they are in. Maybe some of those atheists who don’t believe in spirituality are those people who neither believe in God and Spirituality since they conclude or mistake it as the same thing or similar with each other. They don’t believe in anything that might be connected to religion.
SECOND QUESTION:
I strongly believe that Religion is really a great thing. It affects the soul, the mind, the whole being of a person. From the teachings of our church, Christians usually give more importance to moral values and doctrines. We can’t deny the fact that being Christians, we have own responsibilities based from the bible. We have to go to church, we have to pray, we have to respect life and ban any immoral acts. Abortion, Contraception… and the like, we believe that they disrespect human life, and that they are not in accordance to the will of God.
Believing in God would mean dedicating your life to Him and do good acts. It would also mean following the ten commandments, use the bible, and conscience as your guide.
While atheist are those who do not believe they have to follow a god. They believe that they owe there lives to no one. They don’t need to follow rules.
Basically, Christians with respect to their religion would usually apply in their lives the teachings of their religious leaders and use God as their basis for their actions. While an atheist,on the other hand, does believe in God and don’t believe in any teachings of the church which are undeniably full of morals and really helps in the development of a person.
* but even Christians and Atheists sometimes can’t be differentiated. Let’s face the fact that even Christians disobey the rules of the church, and even with their religion, they still don’t seem to internalize who God is.
THIRD QUESTION:
It depends. I guess it would still be valid since spirituality would mean only one thing for both, but only has different dimensions…
With different dimensions, it would still be valid because I’m sure that spiritual atheists and Christians may have some common concepts of the term"spirituality" since we all know that spirituality is different from religion…
and even if one’s idea of spirituality is different, it would still be helpful to know their the point of view. It would be more invalid to only consider only your own religion’s idea of spirituality. With this, you may discover different things, that maybe atheists and Christians have something in common, exempting religion from the topic.
Spirituality is a rather vague term, so it applies pretty much to anybody who feels they are spiritual – whether they call themselves atheist or not.
The problem is that we do not know what spirituality really is, in fact our generation is completely detached from it. If you asked 100 people what spirituality is, you would probably get 100 different answers. The actual realization of the spiritual is the next stage in the general evolution of desires in mankind.
Someone who "believes" in God is called religious because he wants to justify his actions today without any proof that he will be rewarded. If someone wants to to truly discover God or the force of nature that contains all of reality, there is a process and actual method for attainment. Unfortunatly there are also many incorrect paths that lead one to only brief, psychological support (I know I tried them all).
When I found this method, it answered many of my questions that bothered me my whole life.
If you are interested, here is a short clip that talks about the importance of this method and our times:

SOMEWHERE along the line, the atheist turned away from ALL things “religious” in nature including “spirituality” which can sometimes fall under that heading. The “spiritual atheist” would have just turned away from “GOD”. Or something like that 🙂
