I’m 17 and I want to know if it’s ok for me to start Yoga at this age. I mean, is there an age limit or something, is it more effective on an elder body? I’m asking this because I have no idea! Thank you
Kent E : I’m not trying to lose weight lol I just want to tone my body =)
Yoga is great at any age. It is much more physically demanding than it appears. You need core strength (abdominal and back muscles), excellent balance and flexibility.
When practicing yoga you use your own body as a resistant rather than a weight. It will help prevent muscular and bone problems later in life.
However, yoga is not a cardio-exercise so you still to do something like running, dancing or bike riding.
No, yoga is fine at any age! Young is good. You should be fine. There may even be teenage classes. I did it at that age, as did some friends, and a lot of young people were there. Have fun!
I did yoga at around that age or was it 16
was really cool
I love the breathing techniques
but the stretches were really
flexy and technical
and not difficult
Its for all ages
but i was the only boy there
