I’m only 8 weeks and 4 days, and got a ton of stuff from my Midwife about birthing classes, prenatal yoga, etc. When do you sign up for these? When did you start to go to prenatal yoga? Any suggestions?

We started going to natural child birth classes when I was only 9 weeks. We probably would have gone a little later, but the lady we wanted wasn’t sure when her next class would be.
I haven’t started yoga, and I’ve been thinking about it but not sure if I’m going to do it or not.
Anytime you want to start is fine.
anytime in your 2nd trimester is good and anytime is beneficial really….congrats
you can start the yoga classes now, the longer you have been going the more they help with delivery. I took my birth classes in the 6-7 month, early enough to be prepared in case of premature delivery but not so early that i forgot everything.
you can start yoga when ever you want to. birthing classes you should take further along probably around 7 or 8 months. you dont want to take it too early because you will forget a lot of the information.
It partially depends upon which type of classes you plan to take. The Bradley method is a 12 week course, so you would want to start early enough to get finished in time. Some other classes only last six weeks. I think I was 4 or 5 months along when I took classes. I also needed lots of time to practice after the class was finished.
I NEVER took a birthing class. I watched youtube. Classes just weren’t convenient. When I gave birth I was so prepared and the Dr and nurses were very impressed. They didn’t believe that I didn’t take a class. I had a natural birth.
Read about it on my blog.
I didn’t take any classes. I think those are mainly for women who don’t plan on using any pain medication.
