Why not post in the science area if you are not viewing it as a religion?
And if creationist are posting there why? Why not just post in Religion and Spirituality?

R&S is the mixing pot, where everyone hates each other.
God botherers post in every section trying to recruit for whatever particular flavour of god club they’re in. Just desserts.
Because evolution is a clear alternative to intelligent design. We never go into the scientific details, only the basic outline that is required to supply an alternate to those who seek one.
We make answer posts about evolution in responses to questions about evolution. So the real question is: why DO creationists post science questions in the R&S section?
Obviously, they’re not asking out of any sort of sincerity. They don’t actually want to learn anything. They just think that their evolution questions are "stumper" questions which, if they can’t be answered by some random atheists on some free fast-paced internet forum, must somehow prove creationism by default. Such creationists are just uneducated zealots looking to feel validated.
Evolutionists only answer questions about evolution when they are asked by Christians, who are only seeking reaffirmation of what they already believe.
why don’t christians post in mythology then?
Last time I looked, it was a free country, you Christians haven’t been able to restrict our constitutional rights yet.
We post here because creationists are always asking questions about evolution in this section.
<————–
Cause some in the religious world want to make my life more difficult by trying to add their myths to my science classes for my kids.
Sides, I’m fascinated how people can be so ignorant of basic facts, and allow themsleves to look at blue sky and say "nope, don’t buy it… it’s green".
There is no such thing as an evolutionist, any more than there is such a thing as a gravitationalist. To answer your question, the subject of evolution is frequently brought up in a religious context and therefore discussed in R&S.
Lots of people here ask questions about evolution, and make false and inaccurate claims about evolution. That’s why. Answering those questions where they’re asked, and correcting false claims where they’re made, doesn’t make evolution a religion.
Peace.
We like to keep up on what the silly people are doing
I think you’ll find that it’s the religious wingnuts who are the ones posting purely scientific questions in the "Religion" section.
Evolution is their religion. If you ask me, it’s a stupid atheist that sits on R&S arguing religion when their short life span is ticking away…
Evolution and Spirituality are not mutually exclusive.
just to show that religion is false but they always fail.
Because the idea of evolution and creationism are oppositional and are connected by their very polarization.
Why do religious fundies post in science section?
Because for many their belief in evolution is their reason for not believing in God as our Creator.
I respect their view more than those who believe in "theistic evolution" or other spin-offs. At least they are not compromising.
More questions are posted by theists attempting to dismiss evolution in this section, which renders your question pretty much pointless.
There no such thing as an "evolutionist" anymore. That word went out of style a hundred years ago and remains cool only among creationists.
The actual issue here is why creationists post science questions in R&S. Usually, sane people are simply responding to them.
Hate and denial of God is the reason atheists are here.
I kind of get what you mean. Why do people post their questions about evolution here not biology? Perhaps they are afraid of the answers they will get there.
We talk about evolution in R&S because this is where Creationists are putting their questions about it. If they didn’t we wouldn’t be talking about it here.
If creationists are really interested in answers, then why post evolution questions here and not in the science section?
‘Cos there are too many boring homework questions in the Science section! I come here looking for all the interesting biology questions.
Hi,
In an attemp to bring about scientific debate. The problem is, they fail to realize some very prominent scientist are deeply involved in ID research. The list is very long and getting longer each year. Chemical Evolution did not start life on this planet, and this thought process has been known for quit some time. First cause is the holy grail of Evolutionary science, and from what we know now, quit impossible. We are finding single cell chemistry far more complex than once imagined. The days of thinking life arose form a chemical soup is about to come to an end, and it will be proven through good science. Even the folks at Cambridge are coming around. Give it some more time and the debate will be settled once and for all.
Because trying to understand where we came from is a hot topic. How you think the earth came to be is the foundation for what you will believe in. There are two types of people, the first person would look at the earth and say, "This earth has incredible order and design to it, there must be a creator," and the second person says, "This earth had to come into existence on its own by random processes." Either view is belief which leaves people with a particular worldview. As a Christian, I believe it is an important foundational topic that should be discussed no matter if it’s in the science section or the R&S section. When evolutionists ask questions about creationism, they would probably choose the R&S section to get the most responses. I tend to stay in the R&S for creation/evolution debating even though I bring up scientific evidence for creationism.
There are religious people that do not accept evolution. However, many more religious people do accept it, which confuses and confounds those that don’t. So, both sides like to talk about it, and the non-religious people love to join in. (Actually, the religious people that accept evolution seem to be a minority here, notwithstanding being a majority "out there.")
